Alison was admitted to the role of solicitors in 1996 and has built an enviable reputation as a staunch defence lawyer. Alison is a specialist criminal defence solicitor. Having gained the right to appear in the Crown Court as a Higher Court Advocate in 2005, Alison appears in the Crown Court for Clients charged with more serious offences.

Alison has represented Defendants in numerous high-profile cases in the Crown Court, such as manslaughter, fraud, serious assaults and sexual offences and continues to do so.

Alison regularly appears on behalf of Defendants in the Magistrates Court.

Alison is a Duty Solicitor and regularly represents clients held at the police station under the free police station representation program under legal aid

Alison advises Defendants who want to appeal against then conviction and/or sentence from the Magistrate’s court and will regularly represent them at their Appeal hearing.

Alison has a specialist interest in Animal Welfare, Dangerous Dogs and Hunting Act offences.
